Chaortic Part 3

This Sunday morning…How to thrive in Chaos – Part Three Dealing with Irrational Authority

In Mark 8:29 by jeanLeave a Comment

We are in a series called Chaortic, which means order within chaos.  The world that we live in is often chaotic and overwhelming.  Wrong often called right, those that do what is wrong are often rewarded, applauded, and appear to prosper.

However, the Bible reveals that believers can continue to thrive in a chaotic world by following the Lord’s practical ways each day.  In doing so we can find His peace, love, and joy in any circumstance.

In this series we have learned at times the Lord places people that oppose Him in seemingly powerful positions in this world to accomplish His good purposes, whether they realize it or not.

Pharaoh, Goliath, King Nebuchadnezzar, and Nero are all examples of men that opposed the Lord, appeared to have great power over His people, yet were used in a mighty way to advance God’s good purpose, the saving of many lives.  “For I know the plans I have for you.  Plans to give you hope and a good future.” Jeremiah 29:11

We have learned several secrets of how to thrive in chaos. First -realizing that God establishes all earthly authority Second – believers are called to submit to the authority He places us under.  In doing so, we honor the Lord and serve His good purpose. Third – What to do when the authority we are placed under unintentionally asks us to break God’s Commandments.

This week we will discover what to do when the earthly authority we serve makes an irrational, wrong decision that will cause great harm.   Make no mistake, leaders, whether they are believers or not, can make very bad decisions that cause great suffering.  This Sunday morning at 10:00 we will discover how to thrive and honor God when this happens.
