70 Good Years
The wicked will often succeed in this world, and believers often envy or covet their success. The Bible says, “Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever” (Psalm 92:6-7). But, “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree...they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age...proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock...” (Psalm 92:12-15). So, don’t be confused by evildoers’ worldly success, for God is showing them mercy. After all, in light of their eternal destination, would you not grant them 70 good years?
